VIDEO/ Mbappé Spotted in Paris With Ester Expósito While Recovering From Knee Injury

Kylian Mbappé has found himself at the center of another off-field controversy after being spotted in Paris with Ester Expósito while recovering from a knee injury.

The Real Madrid forward was photographed alongside the Spanish actress at a Paris nightclub on Wednesday night, according to reports, just days after suffering a problem with his left knee while playing for France.

Mbappé was forced off during France’s match against Turkey after experiencing pain in his knee. Medical tests subsequently revealed that he had suffered an hyperextension of the posterior capsule of his left knee. The injury was considered relatively minor, but it was enough for him to leave the France camp and begin his recovery.

Mbappé spotted with Ester Expósito in Paris

While Mbappé initially returned to Madrid for medical checks, reports on Thursday claimed that he had not been at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground for the previous two days.

According to Spanish reports, the 27-year-old was instead spotted in Paris with Ester Expósito. Footage and photographs circulating online reportedly showed the pair at the Boum Boum nightclub during the night of September 30 into October 1.

The sighting has inevitably attracted attention because Mbappé is currently sidelined and undergoing treatment for his knee problem. However, his appearance in Paris by itself does not establish anything about the severity of his injury or his recovery timetable. Tribuna also noted that his absence from Valdebebas and subsequent appearance in Paris cannot, on their own, determine when he will be fit to return.

Another controversy surrounding the Real Madrid star

This is not the first time Mbappé and Expósito have been photographed together while the forward has been recovering from an injury.

The pair have previously been linked after being seen together in Paris and elsewhere. Their relationship has attracted considerable media attention, although neither Mbappé nor Expósito has publicly confirmed the details of their relationship. Vogue, for example, described their relationship as relatively private despite several public sightings during 2026.

The latest images are therefore likely to generate another wave of discussion around Mbappé, particularly because of the timing of the trip and his reported absence from Valdebebas.

For now, the key sporting question remains his recovery. Mbappé has already left the France squad because of the knee problem, while Real Madrid will continue to monitor his condition before determining when he can return to competitive action.
