Official: Dani Carvajal to Leave Real Madrid After 23 Seasons

The club confirms the departure of one of its greatest legends, with a farewell tribute set at the Santiago Bernabéu


Real Madrid has officially announced that Dani Carvajal will leave the club at the end of the season, bringing an end to a remarkable 23-year journey. The Spanish defender will play his final match in a Real Madrid shirt against Athletic Bilbao.

The club confirmed that Carvajal’s contract, which expires on June 30, will not be renewed. On a personal level, Carvajal was named in the FIFA FIFPro World XI in 2024 and included in The Best FIFA Men’s Team of the Year. He was also named Man of the Match in the 2024 Champions League final, where he scored.

Across his career with Real Madrid, he made 450 appearances and scored 14 goals. With the Spain national football team, he earned 51 caps and won UEFA Euro 2024 and the UEFA Nations League in 2023.
