Florentino vs. Guardiola: Madrid and City Battle for PSG’s Best Defender
Real Madrid and Manchester City are set to battle for a PSG signing. Josep Guardiola, a respected voice at the Citizens, will compete with Florentino Pérez for the top defender from the Parisian club.
At the Santiago Bernabéu, there is keen interest in bolstering all defensive positions. While Mbappé and Endrick are set to reinforce the attack, the club also aims to enhance competitiveness across the backline. They seek to sign a central defender and full-backs for both sides.
Names like Alphonso Davies or Miguel Gutiérrez are under consideration, and for the center of defense, there’s the possibility of signing Leny Yoro, among many others on the agenda. For the right side, attention is drawn to one of PSG’s standout players.
Achraf Hakimi is the top target for a summer arrival. The Moroccan full-back has been on the radar of Madrid for some time. He left Valdebebas in search of opportunities and after stints at Inter and Dortmund, among others, he ended up signing for PSG, where he furthered his career.
Mbappé is a Magnet Real Madrid is interested, but they are not alone. Manchester City is also pursuing the former La Fábrica player. The Citizens are not ruling out the possibility, and Guardiola wants to secure the player’s signature. Achraf, however, has an enticing reason to sign for the White Club, beyond his ties to Madrid.
The attraction of Mbappé is undeniable. They are great friends in Paris, and both could take the same path. For that to happen, Achraf will have to follow Kylian’s lead and opt for glory over the financial rewards and salary packages offered by the Etihad Stadium.
