Mbappé Speaks as a Real Madrid Player: “The Next Chapter of My Career…”
Kylian Mbappé continues to approach his final days as a PSG player, receiving various public recognitions along the way.
This Monday, the future Real Madrid player received the award for the best player of the French league this season.
PSG won the championship thanks to Mbappé’s goals, and the UNFP awards recognized him as the best in the competition.
Obviously, the press awaited some ‘elaboration’ on that farewell video Mbappé posted last Friday, announcing his departure from Paris without making it clear which team, although everyone knows he will play for Real Madrid.
When he went up to collect the award, Mbappé left a direct message to Madridismo… without mentioning it.
“The next chapter of my career will be very exciting,” he said.
“It’s difficult, more than it seems. A chapter of my life closes here. I leave here with my head held high. I thank the coaches, technical staff, and president,” naming Al Khelaifi for the first time since announcing his departure.
“My father wanted me to make history in the French league before leaving. It’s been a long journey, I’m very happy,” he concluded.
Asked later about details of his current situation, Mbappé assured that “nothing surprises me anymore,” when asked if he was surprised that Luis Enrique didn’t take him off in Sunday’s game to earn the crowd’s ovation.
Regarding the Olympics, Mbappé commented that “everyone knows the situation, it’s not up to me. Whatever happens, I’ll be happy.”
“When will I announce my new club? Now is not the time, there is time for everything,” he said.
Very family-oriented Mbappé arrived at the gala accompanied by his brother, Ethan, and his father, Wilfread. Both were very smiling alongside Kylian and posed with him before the gala. The whole family wanted to support the star in what was his last gala of French football before putting on the Real Madrid jersey and fulfilling his dream.
