Mbappé Compares Real Madrid to PSG in Conversation with Dembélé: “At Real…”
During the international break following Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory against Real Betis, Kylian Mbappé has been making headlines with his candid remarks to his French teammate Ousmane Dembélé. Despite injuries to some of his fellow Madrid players, Mbappé remains a key figure for France during this FIFA international window.
While catching up with Dembélé, who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Mbappé didn’t hold back in sharing his experiences of his new life in Madrid and playing in LaLiga. He expressed how much he is enjoying his time at Real Madrid, describing it as “a dream come true.”
Comparing Challenges
Mbappé also compared the challenges faced in domestic league matches with Real Madrid to those he encountered while at PSG. He pointed out a significant difference in the playing styles of their opponents:
“In Paris, opponents gave us more space; they didn’t sit back as much. But at Real Madrid, teams put all 11 players behind the ball, right in front of the goal, and it makes it very difficult to win that way,” Mbappé reportedly told Dembélé as they walked through the halls.
These comments reflect Mbappé’s adaptation to a different tactical landscape in LaLiga, where he faces more compact and defensive setups compared to his time in Ligue 1. His remarks also highlight the challenges Real Madrid faces in breaking down such well-organized defenses, underlining the tactical adjustments required for success in Spain.
