Gianluca Simeone’s Gesture Adds Spice to Madrid Derby

During Atletico Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in the Madrid derby, Atletico Manager Diego Simeone’s son, Gianluca Simeone, made an interesting gesture that didn’t go unnoticed.

After Atletico Madrid’s second goal in the match, Gianluca was captured leaning out from his balcony, making a familiar gesture towards the Real Madrid fans in the stands. While some may view it as a lack of respect, others may find it endearing.

Gianluca is the second-eldest son of Diego Simeone, playing for Tudelano in the Spanish fourth division. His eldest son, Giovanni, plays for Napoli in Serie A, and his son Giuliano is on loan from Atletico Madrid at Alaves, although he is sidelined until 2024 due to a preseason injury. The Simeone family certainly added some intrigue to the derby.
