Thibaut Courtois has set social media abuzz after commenting on Erling Haaland’s potential move to Real Madrid. The Belgian goalkeeper, in an interview with Rio Ferdinand, shared his thoughts on how the Norwegian striker would fit into the Spanish giants’ attacking style.
“Haaland would score a lot of goals at Real Madrid,” Courtois stated. “Cristiano Ronaldo scored many goals, and when he left, someone had to fill that void. If you’re in the right place, a striker like Haaland in our team would score a lot.”
Haaland’s Ideal Fit for Real Madrid
Courtois emphasized that Real Madrid’s attacking nature would perfectly suit a forward like Haaland. “We are very offensive. Haaland is the type of striker who thrives inside the box, and we have the quality to get the ball there. We attack constantly, and if you’re a great striker, you’ll end up scoring goals.”
Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, Madrid hasn’t had a pure penalty-box finisher:
