Ancelotti Provides Positive Update on Vinicius Injury Amid Bellingham’s Stellar Performance
Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has shared an optimistic update on Vinicius Junior’s thigh injury.
Despite another remarkable league goal from the impressive Bellingham, post-match discussions swiftly shifted towards Vinicius’ fitness.
During his press conference in Vigo, Ancelotti was queried about the Brazilian international’s condition, and the seasoned Italian expressed his concerns.
“We have no immediate plans to acquire new players; we have the capability to score goals without Vinicius, as demonstrated today,” as reported by COPE.
“Vini won’t be available for the upcoming match against Getafe, but the injury doesn’t appear to be too severe.”
Ancelotti elaborated that Vinicius was eager to continue playing, but the team chose not to take any unnecessary risks. The coach confirmed that Vinicius should return after the international break.
Vinicius, 23, has predominantly maintained good health during his tenure at Madrid, with his only notable period of absence dating back to 2019.
Ancelotti is anticipated to provide a comprehensive update in the following days, although Vinicius will miss the forthcoming Getafe match at home.
However, Ancelotti’s statements do not clarify whether Vinicius will withdraw from international duty with Brazil next month. Brazil is slated to engage in 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
