David Alaba Dismisses Bayern Munich Return Rumors: Fully Committed to Real Madrid
Real Madrid defender David Alaba has quashed speculation surrounding a potential return to his former club Bayern Munich. The Austrian, who spent 13 years in Germany with Bayern, moved to Real Madrid in 2021 after 431 appearances for the Bavarian giants.
Despite facing challenges in the past year due to injuries and form, the 31-year-old has refuted rumors linking him back to Germany, emphasizing his contentment with life in Madrid. While on international duty, Alaba stated, “I’m not thinking that far ahead. I feel very comfortable in Madrid. I like Real Madrid, and I have very clear goals. My thoughts are not anywhere else,” as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
With two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, Alaba is poised to be 34 when it expires. Given the unlikely prospect of Bayern making an excessive offer for his return, and considering the trust placed in him by current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, it appears probable that Alaba will continue to play a crucial role at the Santiago Bernabeu under the Italian’s leadership.
