Saudi Club Preparing €65m Offer for Real Madrid’s Star Player
Real Madrid is bracing for an upcoming offer of €55 million, plus an additional €10 million in potential add-ons, for David Alaba, as reported by Luis Alberto Lopez of Defensa Central. This bid comes on the heels of a previous €45 million offer, which the club had rejected not long ago.
The potential move is being driven by Saudi interests, who are keen to secure Alaba’s services after failing in their pursuit of Sergio Ramos for the league. However, both Real Madrid and David Alaba are reportedly reluctant to entertain this offer.
The situation is further complicated by the long-term injury absence of Eder Militao, leaving Real Madrid with limited defensive options. Alaba, whose current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2026, remains an integral part of the squad.
It’s important to note that the transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes in the latter part of September. If Real Madrid were to sell Alaba, they would be unable to sign a replacement until the January transfer window, adding a layer of complexity to the decision-making process.
