Real Madrid’s Tchouameni Extends Olive Branch to Gavi After Injury Incident
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has taken a considerate approach to prevent Gavi from becoming the target of Madridista outrage, following the emergence of images suggesting that the 19-year-old may have caused injury to the Frenchman.
The images, originating from DAZN, featured a moment where Tchouameni appeared to be tending to his toe after a challenge from Gavi during the second half. Gavi’s actions had inadvertently brushed against Tchouameni.
In response, Tchouameni took to Twitter to clarify the situation, stating, “It’s not Gavi’s fault. I got injured at the end of the first half.”
As a result of this injury, Tchouameni will be sidelined for approximately two months with a fractured metatarsal.
Tchouameni’s response serves to shield Gavi from unwarranted social media criticism by Madridistas and potentially shape public opinion on a previously sensitive matter. Gavi’s passionate playing style has occasionally led to clashes with Real Madrid fans and Spain supporters, who have even jeered him in the past. However, recent performances have clearly demonstrated Gavi’s prowess as a key asset for La Roja, indicating that this controversy is now a thing of the past.
