Real Madrid’s Board Reacts to Barcelona’s Interest in Mbappé: “It’s a Joke

It’s the bombshell rumor for Christmas. Real Madrid is attentively listening to what is unfolding about Mbappé and has reacted with much surprise to the new episode of the French forward’s saga.

In less than a week, the Parisian star will be completely free to choose his destination for the next season. This has sparked interest from many teams trying to convince him to join them.

What no one expected is that the Blaugrana club would leak an interest in the French striker. It’s a wishful thinking move, as Barcelona doesn’t have sufficient resources to have him in their team.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Kylian Mbappé is on Barcelona’s radar. On January 1st, he will be free to negotiate with any team worldwide, and from June 30, 2024, if he doesn’t renew, he can sign freely and join that team.

The mentioned media outlet places Barcelona in a battle where the renewal of PSG, Saudi Arabia, or Liverpool, among others, is also involved in trying to secure the coveted transfer of the French forward.

Real Madrid awaits the outcome very expectantly and keeps all options open. In the Bernabéu, they neither close nor open doors. The reality is that Mbappé will be the one to decide.

“It’s a joke” They did react to Mundo Deportivo’s ‘announcement’ in private and made it clear that it’s “a joke,” they pointed out. In the Bernabéu, they don’t understand how they can get involved in the saga and emphasize that everything seems like a “hoax.”

Mbappé still hasn’t decided anything, but he’s just a few days away from being able to sign for Real Madrid with complete freedom. The Frenchman will decide his future, and he’s already counting the days to become a Madridista.
