Real Madrid Set Vinicius Price Tag

The Vinicius Jr. case continues to dominate headlines, and the aftermath of El Clásico has placed the Brazilian back under the spotlight once again.
Although the forward has apologized in recent days, the noise surrounding him refuses to die down — and all signs point toward a possible departure, especially if no renewal agreement is reached soon.
According to journalist Iván Martín (OKD), Real Madrid’s sporting department has a clear plan regarding the No. 7:
“Real Madrid are fully aware that sooner or later they’ll need to sit down with Vinicius to resume renewal talks. The club, led by Florentino Pérez, will not allow one of the cornerstones of its current sporting project to leave on a free transfer in 2027, when his current contract expires,” he explained.

A Clear Position at the Bernabéu
The next few months are expected to be crucial. Real Madrid and Vinicius Jr. must have a serious conversation about his future.
When last asked about his contract, the Brazilian said:
“I hope to stay here for many years. I’ve always said this is the club of my life. I’m very happy with the coach and the staff, and I want to remain here. Yes, I have two years left — until 2027 — but I’ve always said I want to spend my entire career here and make history with this team.”
However, words now need to be matched with action — something Madrid fans are eager to see. Signing a new deal would be the best way for Vinicius to prove his commitment to the club and end a saga that benefits no one.
Accepting Real Madrid’s renewal proposal would also serve as a gesture of true madridismo, particularly because few understand why Vinicius is reportedly seeking wages comparable to Kylian Mbappé’s, when his current form is still some way off the level that once made him a Ballon d’Or contender.
