According to AS, discussions with Davies’ agent, Nedal Huoseh, have intensified in recent weeks. Real Madrid is optimistic about the prospect of signing the defender.

Davies, at the age of 23, is open to a potential move to the Spanish capital in the upcoming summer. His contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.

In preparation for Davies’ potential departure, Bayern Munich has already signed Raphael Guerreiro from Borussia Dortmund. However, Guerreiro has faced challenges with injuries and has not provided strong competition for the left-back position.

If an agreement on a contract extension cannot be reached by the next summer transfer window, Bayern Munich is expected to seek a transfer fee in the vicinity of €50 million for Davies, rather than risk losing him for free a year later.

While other clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea have also been linked with the Canadian international, Real Madrid appears to have made significant progress in the race for his signature.
