Real Madrid General Assembly Set for November 11: Potential Name Change for Training Pitch

Real Madrid has scheduled its General Assembly for November 11, and one of the items on the agenda is a vote to rename Real Madrid’s training pitch at Valdebebas to ‘Florentino Perez Sports City’. This move, which would immortalize the club’s president, has been proposed by over 1,000 representatives of the Real Madrid board.

Florentino Perez has previously resisted such recognition, but the overwhelming majority of board members appear to be in favor of this change. Although some board members opposed the idea, the majority of them are supporting the proposal, citing Article 28 of the Social Statutes, which allows them to bestow such an honor on the club’s president.
