Real Madrid Expresses Concerns Over €60 Million Signing

Real Madrid has a history of acquiring highly-touted young talents from across the globe while they are still in their teenage years. The strategy is clear: sign them early, nurture them, and ultimately develop them into key players at Santiago Bernabeu. This approach has yielded success stories like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Fede Valverde, who have all become regular fixtures in the Real Madrid first team. However, not every teenage signing has met expectations, as is the nature of such ventures.

One such promising teenager Real Madrid secured a deal for late last year is Endrick. Hailing from Palmeiras, the young talent drew comparisons to legends like Ronaldo Nazario and is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Brazilian football since Neymar.

Real Madrid agreed to a substantial €60 million transfer package to secure Endrick’s services, with his arrival slated for next year upon turning 18. Nevertheless, concerns are starting to emerge within the club.

Real Madrid’s apprehensions primarily stem from Endrick’s lack of playing time, as reported by Madrid Universal. The club had hoped that he would gain valuable experience with regular game minutes in Brazil before making the transition to the Spanish capital. Additionally, Real Madrid is worried about the treatment the 17-year-old has been subjected to from opponents.

A recent match against Corinthians saw Endrick on the receiving end of a heavy tackle, fortunately resulting in no injury. While Endrick enjoyed a promising start to his senior career, he has encountered challenges in finding the back of the net in recent matches. This struggle has led to his exclusion from the starting lineup, with his appearances now mostly limited to substitute roles or sometimes none at all.
