Real Madrid Considering €18 Million Bid for Chelsea Player
Real Madrid Considering Permanent Move for Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga
Real Madrid has a history of signing players from Chelsea in recent years, with some of those transfers turning out to be quite successful, like Thibaut Courtois, while others, like Eden Hazard, less so. This summer, Real Madrid acquired Kepa Arrizabalaga on a season-long loan from Chelsea after an injury sidelined Thibaut Courtois.
Kepa has been the starting goalkeeper since his arrival at Real Madrid and has shown interest in making the move permanent. The question now is whether Real Madrid will pursue a permanent deal for Kepa.
According to reports from SPORT, Chelsea values Kepa’s transfer at €25 million, while Real Madrid is considering an offer in the region of €18 million. Kepa is reportedly “delighted” with the idea of continuing his career at Santiago Bernabeu.
The decision on whether to sign Kepa permanently may hinge on his performance for Real Madrid this season. If he impresses, the club might seek to secure his services when his loan spell concludes. However, if his performances are underwhelming, a return to Stamford Bridge may be the more likely scenario.
It’s worth noting that Real Madrid might need to sign another goalkeeper next summer, as Andriy Lunin’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he is not expected to sign an extension. Nevertheless, even if Real Madrid secures Kepa permanently, he is likely to serve as cover for the undisputed number one, Thibaut Courtois, when both are fully fit.
