According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is now willing to offload their star player Kylian Mbappe to any interested club during this summer transfer window. Previously, PSG had staunchly opposed the idea of selling Mbappe to Real Madrid. However, with the fear of losing him on a free transfer, the Parisian club is now more concerned with securing a transfer fee, regardless of the buying club.

In a recent statement by PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi on Wednesday, he emphasized the impossibility of allowing Mbappe to depart without a fee in 2024. Al-Khelaifi’s stance effectively conveyed that if Mbappe desired to continue his career in Paris, he would need to sign a new contract with the club.

Real Madrid has been a prominent suitor for Mbappe’s signature, but they have made it clear that they will permanently cease their pursuit if the young forward commits himself to PSG by signing a contract extension either now or at the end of the season.

The potential transfer of Mbappe to Real Madrid would likely command a substantial sum, with reports suggesting an estimated expenditure of around €200 million by the Spanish club to secure the French international’s services this summer.
