Mbappé and Vinicius: Real Madrid’s Perfect Duo for Juventus and Barcelona

Los Blancos boast an attacking pair whose numbers are almost unbeatable.
Real Madrid have hit top form just in time for a crucial week to close out October. After last Sunday’s hard-fought 1–0 win over Getafe, Xabi Alonso’s side now face two massive tests — Juventus on Wednesday night (9:00 p.m.) in the third round of the Champions League group stage, and Barcelona on Sunday (4:15 p.m.) in El Clásico.
For both fixtures, Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior represent Madrid’s most dangerous weapons — and what a duo they’ve become.
Mbappé was the match-winner at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, finishing off a brilliant assist from Arda Güler, while Vinicius came off the bench to completely change the game. Introduced in the 55th minute, the Brazilian’s dribbling and energy tore Getafe’s defense apart. In the closing stages, his presence proved decisive again: Nyom was sent off for slapping Vinicius, and Sancris soon followed with a second yellow after another foul on him.
A lethal combination
Statistically, the Frenchman and the Brazilian are almost unstoppable. Mbappé has already scored 15 goals in 11 matches, while Vinicius has added five of his own — plus four assists compared to Mbappé’s two. Together, they form a partnership that gives Alonso enormous firepower heading into the games against Juventus and Barcelona.

After being rested against Getafe, Vinicius will return to the starting lineup, which means Rodrygo Goes is expected to drop to the bench.
Madrid aim to make a statement
Real Madrid are relying heavily on their attacking trident of Mbappé, Vinicius, and Arda Güler to close October on a high note against two elite opponents. Both Juventus and Barça come into the week under pressure: Juve lost 2–0 to Como last weekend, while Barcelona suffered painful defeats to PSG (1–2) and Sevilla (1–4) before the international break.
The schedule doesn’t ease up in November, either. Madrid will travel to Liverpool for a huge Champions League clash at Anfield on November 4, before visiting Rayo Vallecano on November 9 to wrap up their demanding run of fixtures.
