Major Move in Italy: Nico Paz Agrees to Join Inter Milan
The Real Madrid academy graduate is making waves in Serie A, with the Italian giants eyeing his signature.

The Argentine attacking midfielder even made a brief appearance for the first team during last year’s European campaign, which put him on the radar of many clubs across Europe. When his time at La Fábrica came to an end, Nico Paz was ready to settle into the Santiago Bernabéu locker room, but the lack of space—despite Toni Kroos’s retirement that same summer—meant that didn’t happen.
This led Nico Paz to move to Italy, where he was transferred to Como 1907. Under the tactical guidance of Cesc Fàbregas, his journey in one of Europe’s top five leagues has just begun. The interest from Inter Milan to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer windows further confirms his growing stature.
First Notable Interest
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the management at Inter Milan has already reached out to Nico Paz’s representatives to explore the possibility of signing him. The player’s family has reportedly responded positively to the interest, partly due to the strong friendship between Javier Zanetti, Inter’s current vice president, and Pablo Paz, Nico’s father. The two are already working together in a bid to bring the young talent to Milan.
Nico Paz himself is also open to the idea of taking the next step in Serie A, understanding that a return to Real Madrid might take several seasons—or never happen at all. However, such a transfer, involving multiple teams, is not as straightforward as it may seem. Il Corriere dello Sport notes that Real Madrid’s executives, led by Florentino Pérez, have not forgotten the buyback clause that would allow the club to bring Nico Paz back for €9 million this summer. The clause would increase to €10 million in 2026, €11 million in 2027, and so on.
The Ultimate Dilemma
In Italy, it is also pointed out that Como 1907 has the option to acquire the remaining 50% of Nico Paz’s rights, currently held by Real Madrid, by paying up to €25 million. It seems unlikely that Real Madrid would agree to this deal, considering the club’s keen interest in watching his progress from their headquarters in Valdebebas.
The potential transfer of Nico Paz to Inter Milan ultimately rests entirely on the player’s decision. Il Corriere dello Sport reports that the Argentine midfielder now faces the choice of either staying at Como or returning to Real Madrid, as top European clubs begin formulating plans to sign him.
