‘Le Parisien’ Announces Dinner Meeting Between Mbappé, Macron, and the Emir of Qatar
The French newspaper has announced the meeting at the Élysée Palace, which the player will attend.
At 6:40 p.m. on Monday, February 26, the news broke in France. Mbappé will be having dinner on Tuesday with the President of the Republic, Macron, and the PSG chief, Emir of Qatar, Al Thani.
This unexpected gathering was announced by PSG’s closest newspaper, ‘Le Parisien,’ which has assured that this meeting is not about sports, reassuring Real Madrid fans who might fear the worst.
“This will not be his first visit to the Presidential Palace, nor his first meeting with the Head of State. This Tuesday evening, Kylian Mbappé is expected to attend the dinner organized by Emmanuel Macron in the halls of his official residence. The President of the Republic invited the Paris Saint-Germain star forward and its president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to the meal held in honor of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani,” reports the French publication.
“As part of the discussions on the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the President of the Republic is hosting the Emir of Qatar this week, whose state is one of the main actors in the negotiations on the ceasefire and the release of hostages, particularly three French citizens,” Le Parisien states.
Not Related to Sports The good news for Real Madrid is that nothing related to Mbappé as an athlete or his potential renewal with PSG is mentioned at any point.
This is crucial because it would not be the first time Macron has intervened decisively in Mbappé’s future to prevent his transfer to Real Madrid. It happened in 2022, but everything indicates that the same scenario will not repeat itself in 2024.
