Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Not Included in PSG’s Matchday Squad for Lorient Fixture
As Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) kick off their Ligue 1 campaign with a match against Lorient, notable absences from the matchday squad include Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Junior. Both players have been the subject of transfer speculation, with Mbappe transfer-listed by PSG after declining to sign a new contract, while Neymar is reportedly not in the plans of new head coach Luis Enrique.
The absence of both players from the squad raises further questions about their future at the club. Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid remains a possibility, as PSG aims to secure a deal before the transfer window closes to avoid losing him on a free transfer next summer. Neymar’s return to Barcelona has also been rumored, contingent on the financial feasibility of the move due to Barcelona’s financial challenges.
In the meantime, PSG’s recent acquisition Ousmane Dembele is not yet registered to play, while other new additions, such as Arnau Tenas and Marco Asensio, are included in the squad.
