Kimmich Linked to Real Madrid and Reflects on Spain Defeat: “Only…”
Joshua Kimmich has a contract until 2025, but Real Madrid has no intention of negotiating a transfer with Bayern Munich.
The victory of the Spanish national team over Toni Kroos’s Germany (2-1) in the final minute of extra time continues to be a hot topic in Germany. Following comments from German coach Julian Nagelsmann, who complained about a possible penalty by Cucurella, another prominent player from the Mannschaft has spoken out.
Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern Munich player, expressed his strong feelings after the match against Spain: “Unfortunately, it was very unfair. We were much better in the second half and in extra time. The Spaniards were just trying to save themselves for the penalty shootout.”
The midfielder, who has been playing as a right-back in recent months, also commented on the potential penalty incident involving the Chelsea player: “We had two really good chances after the goal and should have been awarded a penalty for handball.”
Kimmich has been linked with Real Madrid in recent times. At 29 years old, he has one year left on his contract with Bayern but has yet to decide whether to renew with the Bavarian club.
However, Real Madrid prefers to wait until next year to sign him on a free transfer. With the current squad, Kimmich might find it challenging to secure a place in the team.
