Jude Bellingham: Real Madrid’s Record-Breaking Sensation

Jude Bellingham’s scoring spree for Real Madrid continues unabated. After a rare goalless performance against Sevilla over the weekend, the Englishman found the back of the net once again as Los Blancos faced SC Braga in the UEFA Champions League, this time away in Portugal. His calm and composed finish left spectators in awe, making it look surprisingly easy.

Many have hailed Bellingham as the standout signing of the summer, with some even considering him the best player in the world at present. Since joining Real Madrid, he has been consistently breaking and equaling records, etching his name in the club’s history books once more.

With his goal against SC Braga, Bellingham became only the second Real Madrid player to score in his first three Champions League games for the club, the first being Christian Karembeu. Karembeu’s name, though less mentioned these days, holds historical significance. He was part of two Champions League-winning teams at Real Madrid and also clinched the World Cup and the European Championship with France.

Karembeu scored in his first three Champions League appearances for Real Madrid after joining the club in January 1998. He found the net in both legs of their quarter-final tie against Bayer Leverkusen and in the first leg of the semis against Borussia Dortmund. Remarkably, he scored only one more goal during his two-and-a-half-year stint at the Santiago Bernabeu.

While Karembeu may not have been a prominent figure at the club, Bellingham is showcasing the potential to claim that spot. The future holds intriguing prospects for this rising star.
