Inter Milan Eyes Camavinga for €35 Million, Real Madrid’s Response is Clear

Eduardo Camavinga

Despite a tough, injury-hit season, Camavinga remains untouchable at Real Madrid — far from Inter’s lowball offer.

As Real Madrid actively pursues key signings this summer — having already secured Dean Huijsen and edging closer to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Álvaro Carreras — attention also turns to potential player departures. One name that’s drawn interest is Eduardo Camavinga, but the club’s stance is firm: he’s not for sale.

Inter’s €35 Million Offer Falls Flat

According to Defensa Central, Inter Milan has expressed strong interest in acquiring the 21-year-old French midfielder, offering around €35 million for the transfer. The Italian side is looking for a long-term replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is nearing the end of his career at age 36. However, Madrid has no intention of even entertaining the offer.

Camavinga — signed from Rennes in 2021 for around €40 million — is considered a strategic investment for the future. Despite an injury-plagued season, both Real Madrid and incoming coach Xabi Alonso view him as a vital part of the club’s core moving forward. His current contract runs through June 2029, and his release clause stands at €1 billion, making Inter’s offer look not just insufficient, but almost dismissive.

A Difficult Season for the Young Star

This has been a frustrating campaign for Camavinga, who has dealt with multiple injuries. Most recently, he suffered a complete tear of the left adductor tendon in a match against Getafe — an injury expected to sideline him for two to three months. He will miss the upcoming Club World Cup, a disappointing blow both for the player and the club.

The midfielder also missed the start of the season after picking up a knock in the UEFA Super Cup clash against Atalanta and was plagued by muscle issues throughout December and January, missing eight matches in total. Just as he was regaining form and set to start in the Copa del Rey final, he sustained another injury.

Real Madrid’s Firm Position

Despite his stop-start year, Camavinga is still viewed as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe. Real Madrid has no plans to let him go — especially not at a loss. Inter Milan will have to look elsewhere, as the Santiago Bernabéu doors remain firmly closed when it comes to Camavinga.
