Inter Milan Enters Negotiations for Striker Amid Real Madrid and Manchester United Interest
Inter Milan has reportedly initiated negotiations for FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi, adding competition to the list of clubs interested in the player, which includes Real Madrid and Manchester United. Taremi, known for his prolific goal-scoring record, is approaching the final months of his current contract with FC Porto.
As reported by Fichajes, Inter Milan is in talks with FC Porto regarding Taremi’s potential transfer in the winter transfer window. FC Porto has indicated a valuation between €20 million and €25 million for the striker, a figure that both Real Madrid and Manchester United, among other clubs, are reportedly contemplating.
The negotiations between Inter Milan and FC Porto have not yet led to an agreement, with the Portuguese club standing firm on their valuation of Taremi. Despite being in the final six months of his contract, the 31-year-old striker’s proven track record and goal-scoring prowess make him an appealing target for top European clubs.
Real Madrid has been actively seeking a long-term successor for Karim Benzema, who departed for Al-Ittihad in the summer. While Joselu arrived on loan from Espanyol and has performed well, injuries to key players have left Los Blancos looking to bolster their attacking options. The competition for Taremi’s signature indicates the demand for an experienced and goal-scoring forward in the transfer market.
As the negotiations unfold, it remains to be seen whether any club, including Real Madrid, is willing to meet FC Porto’s transfer fee demands for Taremi.
