He Must Be Jealous’: Joselu Responds to Piqué’s Assertion That Real Madrid’s 2022 UCL Win Will Be Forgotten
In response to Gerard Pique’s comments about Real Madrid’s Champions League success and luck, Real Madrid striker Joselu stated during an interview with RAC1:
“Pique’s words? I don’t know, man… if you don’t remember that Champions League, then I don’t know what other Champions League you can remember.
“Also, he’s from Barcelona, he must be jealous.”
Pique had previously remarked that Real Madrid’s Champions League victories are easily forgotten because they rely on luck and that their last triumph was a miracle, as they were second-best in every round. Joselu’s response suggests a dismissive attitude toward Pique’s comments and includes a playful jab by suggesting jealousy due to Pique’s affiliation with Barcelona, which has not won the Champions League since 2015.
