The Welshman discussed his relationship with the No.7
The lethal trident composed of Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Karim Benzema left an indelible mark in football history, but it was also a combination of formidable personalities.
Bale recently shared his insights on his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo and offered a glimpse into what it was like sharing the Real Madrid dressing room with the superstar.
When asked about playing alongside the Portuguese icon during an interview on Martin Borgmeier’s YouTube channel, Bale revealed, “He was actually okay.”
Bale continued, recounting moments when Ronaldo displayed frustration: “He had his moments, like when we won 5-0 but he didn’t score, so he would come in and throw his boots as if he was angry. It’s similar to a team winning the Ryder Cup but not scoring a point, so you feel frustrated.”
However, Bale emphasized that Ronaldo was a pleasant person to be around, stating, “But, he was a nice guy. We didn’t have any problems.”
Furthermore, Bale confirmed that Ronaldo expressed gratitude to the squad after winning the Ballon d’Or trophies during his tenure at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The reminiscences of Bale shed light on the dynamics within the formidable attacking trio and provide a glimpse into the intriguing dynamics and camaraderie that existed between these star players during their time at Real Madrid.
