FIFA to Compensate Real Madrid for Camavinga’s Injury with Daily Payment
Real Madrid is set to receive compensation from FIFA for every day midfielder Eduardo Camavinga spends injured, with the amount estimated at €20,548 per day, reports El Chiringuito TV’s Jose Diaz.
Camavinga sustained a knee injury during international duty with France after a robust tackle from PSG’s Ousmane Dembele. The severity of the injury has raised concerns about the young midfielder’s availability for the rest of 2023.
This injury comes as a significant setback for Real Madrid, given Camavinga’s standout performances in the current season. While he is expected to undergo further tests upon his return to Madrid, early reports suggest he may be sidelined for approximately eight weeks, potentially ruling him out until late December.
The compensation from FIFA serves as a measure to mitigate the financial impact of the injury on Real Madrid. As the club navigates through injury concerns, they are also working towards the return of another key midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni, who picked up an injury during El Clasic
