Ex-Barcelona Player’s Son Linked to Real Madrid Move in January
Recent transfer market rumors have placed the son of a former FC Barcelona player on the radar of Real Madrid, and initial reports suggest a favorable inclination towards the white club.
Florentino Pérez might have identified Real Madrid’s next signing in France. The White House decision-makers haven’t ruled out any options for the upcoming summer transfer window in 2024, as several players align with the new sports project centered around young stars. This includes the midfield, currently lacking depth due to injuries to white club players.
In an effort to bolster this section of the squad, Florentino Pérez is reportedly considering acquiring the services of Képhrem Thuram. The French press indicates that the youngest of the Thuram brothers, sons of former Barça player Lilian Thuram, has entered the white club’s agenda and is poised for negotiations.
The OGC Nice French midfielder, for now, has not commented on a potential departure from the French squad, where he has been delivering stellar performances and caught the attention of Real Madrid executives. However, French sports media suggest a proximity to Santiago Bernabéu, especially since Madrid scouts had the chance to observe him with the French national team during the recent international break.
Intense Competition
At the moment, Thuram is just one of many names the Real Madrid board is considering. Discussions are ongoing at the Valdebebas offices regarding players who should arrive at Santiago Bernabéu in the summer of 2024 to solidify the generational transition in the white squad. While Thuram has gained traction as a potential target, he is not the top choice.
Ahead of the French midfielder are two players who share a special connection with Jude Bellingham. Both Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz would be Florentino Pérez’s primary targets if their respective clubs were open to negotiations, especially if there is a plan to expand the current Real Madrid midfield.
