Eden Hazard Impresses in Charity Match After Retirement
Only a week has passed since Eden Hazard announced his retirement from professional football at the age of just 32. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid winger decided to hang up his boots after mutually terminating his contract with Real Madrid over the summer.
Many had questioned Hazard’s decision to retire, especially given his relatively young age in the world of football. Those doubts may have grown even louder after witnessing his performance in a charity match in France on Wednesday evening.
Hazard participated in the match for Varietes Club de France, sharing the field with prominent figures, including the father of Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe. In a display of his exceptional skills, Hazard delivered a trademark flicked assist to set up a goal for Mbappe’s father.
There’s no denying that Hazard was one of the most gifted players of his generation. While his time at Real Madrid did not unfold as anticipated, it should not overshadow his exceptional contributions during his years at Lille and later at Chelsea.
