“Davies Acts as ‘Agent’ with Musiala: Both Could Join Real Madrid
Canadian full-back, Davies, shares many moments with the German attacking midfielder.
Real Madrid has secured many signings in its history through other players, both their own and others’. Florentino Pérez could once again mobilize this strategy to acquire the signature of one of the most relevant midfielders in today’s football.
In Germany, there’s talk of nothing else: Real Madrid has been ‘besieging’ Bayern Munich for a year now. The Blancos executives are determined to acquire the services of Alphonso Davies, one of the most important left-backs on the planet. The signing of the Canadian defender could take place this summer after much pressure and refusals to renew from the player.
As if that weren’t enough, the Madrid bosses have also set their sights on Jamal Musiala to expand their roster of midfielders: the retirements of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will leave two vacancies in the Santiago Bernabéu dressing room that the Madrid directors want to fill with Arda Güler, who is in the squad… and with Jamal Musiala.
The initial resistance from Bayern Munich to let him go, including preparing a renewal offer to retain the ’42’ for several more years, could be overcome thanks to Alphonso Davies. The North American ’19’ is considered a ‘lost cause’ in the offices of the Allianz Arena, so they may have given up trying to extend a contract that ends in the summer of 2025.
His First Service Taking advantage of this situation, Davies would have revealed to Musiala that he plans to sign for Real Madrid… hinting that he could do the same under similar conditions. Jamal Musiala knows perfectly well that he is one of the players Florentino Pérez would most appreciate signing: having the ‘green light’ from the president of Real Madrid adds many points.
Hence the speed with which Bayern Munich has launched operations to renew him: they want to prevent Real Madrid from convincing him to run down his contract or pressuring to let him go when he has one year left. Names like Toni Kroos, David Alaba, and Alphonso Davies seem to have served as lessons for the Munich board.
