Could Jose Mourinho Return to Real Madrid?
Real Madrid’s recent Copa del Rey victory has eased some of the pressure on current manager Carlo Ancelotti, but there are still doubts about his future at Santiago Bernabeu. While the Italian has expressed his desire to see out his contract until 2024, rumors continue to circulate about potential departures, including a move to coach the Brazil national team.
If Ancelotti were to leave, there are several names being linked with the Real Madrid job, including one of the club’s former managers, Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager has been rumored to have turned down advances from Chelsea and could potentially accept offers from Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid.
Mourinho previously spent three successful seasons at Real Madrid, winning three trophies and ending Barcelona’s dominance. He is currently the manager of AS Roma, where he has done an impressive job, winning the UEFA Europa Conference League and competing for a Champions League spot.
If Mourinho were to return to Santiago Bernabeu, it would be interesting to see how he handles the current team and whether he could bring them back to their former glory.
