Carlo Ancelotti Praises Luka Modric and Toni Kroos for Their Exceptional Performance
Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has reaffirmed his trust in the veteran midfield duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos for the current season.
Both players recently agreed to extend their contracts for another year in Madrid for the 2023/24 season. Kroos expressed his intent to continue at the club as long as he maintains a high level of performance, while Modric opted to remain in Spain instead of pursuing a transfer move to Saudi Arabia.
Despite receiving limited playing time in the opening four league games of the season, with just one start each and occasional substitute appearances, Ancelotti is confident that their roles will increase as the campaign progresses, particularly with the addition of Champions League matches.
Ancelotti emphasized their enduring abilities in midfield, stating, “They are still the best; who do I compare them with? For me, they are the best, period.
