Arda Güler Invites Two Real Madrid Players to a Meal at His Home: His Strong Supports
The Turkish footballer has faced a struggle with injuries in his first season wearing the white shirt.
Following the Clásico, the Ottoman, who enjoys the trust of Ancelotti – seeking to shield him from the ‘noise’ – hosted a barbecue, with Fede Valverde and Brahim also in attendance.
Real Madrid made a statement on Sunday to pave their way to the Liga title after defeating Barcelona (3-2) in a packed Santiago Bernabéu. With a goal from Jude Bellingham, at the last minute, echoing the first-leg match (1-2 to the Whites), Madrid sunk a Barcelona still weak in defensive duties and coming off a forgettable week following their elimination in Europe at the hands of PSG.
Arda Güler couldn’t participate in that match, one of Real Madrid’s high-profile signings last summer. It was almost a personal decision by Florentino Pérez, advised by José Ángel Sánchez and mediated by Juni Calafat. The transfer from Fenerbahçe was sealed for around 20 million euros, though it was reported from Turkey that this figure could be exceeded based on certain variables stipulated by both parties in the contract.
The Turkish midfielder hasn’t had a smooth year, as he suffered an injury to the internal meniscus early in the season – requiring conservative treatment – followed by another injury to the left rectus femoris muscle. Additionally, a few months ago, he had muscular problems. These setbacks have occasionally undermined the confidence of the 19-year-old.
The debut of the attacking midfielder had to wait until January when, in a cup match against Arandina, he showcased flashes of quality, including hitting the crossbar with a shot. Against Celta in the league, he scored his first goal. So far, the Turkish player has appeared in seven matches wearing the white jersey.
Now, following the Clásico, Güler hosted a meal at his home and wanted to acknowledge the support of two of his teammates, Fede Valverde and Brahim. For the midfielder, who has Ancelotti’s trust – seeking to shield him from all the ‘noise’ and urging him to work hard – the Uruguayan and the former City player are two incredibly important pieces in his daily life. And he has once again demonstrated this, hosting a barbecue during Monday’s session.
