Ancelotti’s Decision to Keep Arda Guler on the Bench Explained
Carlo Ancelotti’s choice to not substitute Arda Guler during Real Madrid’s draw with Rayo Vallecano was explained by the coach. Ancelotti clarified that the final minutes of the match involved intense battles and duels up front, making it an unsuitable time to introduce the young talent.
He emphasized the need to manage Guler’s return cautiously, stating, “We need to take it easy with Arda. He has started training, and he will be playing soon.”
Guler has been eagerly awaiting his Real Madrid debut after his summer transfer from Fenerbahce. Unfortunately, he suffered a muscle injury during preseason and had to undergo surgery to address the issue.
