Ancelotti Closes the Door on New Signings, Expresses Confidence in Current Squad
Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has once again reaffirmed his stance on not making any new signings this summer. Speaking ahead of the match against Bilbao, Ancelotti provided insights into the team’s strategy.
“We won’t assign the number 9 jersey this season,” Ancelotti stated, indicating that the club does not plan on bringing in a new striker.
When questioned about the potential need for a new striker, Ancelotti confidently responded, “I don’t think we are missing a striker. In the offensive aspect this preseason, we have been good and we have had very good statistics. Our attack is okay.”
Ancelotti expressed faith in the squad’s versatility and goal-scoring potential: “We have many options, many players can score goals this season: Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Joselu, Valverde, Kroos, the defenders. We’re okay.”
Ancelotti’s statements further reinforce the club’s current stance on the transfer market, suggesting that there may not be a pursuit of Kylian Mbappe this summer. Real Madrid has yet to make a bid for the French forward and has chosen not to engage in discussions about his potential transfer. Meanwhile, PSG is keen on selling Mbappe, even though the player himself has expressed a desire to stay.
