Alvaro Rodriguez Remains with Real Madrid Despite Loan Offers
Despite earlier indications that Alvaro Rodriguez would be promoted to Real Madrid’s first team this summer, the young striker has not made the anticipated move up. While Carlo Ancelotti had expressed his intention to promote Rodriguez, the player was not included in the first-team squad for the pre-season tour of the United States.
Instead of being promoted, Rodriguez has remained with Real Madrid Castilla, the club’s reserve team led by Raul Gonzalez. While not making the first-team squad, Rodriguez has not been allowed to leave on loan either, despite interest from other Spanish clubs.
Both Alaves and Espanyol have reportedly inquired about the possibility of taking Rodriguez on loan, but Real Madrid has turned down these requests. The club seems intent on retaining the young talent and allowing him to develop within their system.
Rodriguez will now aim to impress and work his way back into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans over the upcoming weeks. With the transfer window still open, the situation could change, and Rodriguez might have an opportunity to demonstrate his potential to the first-team coaching staff.
