AC Milan Interested in Real Madrid’s Out-of-Favor Star Player
AC Milan’s promising start to the season, which positioned them as potential Serie A title contenders, has been followed by a downturn in form. With only one win in their last six matches across all competitions, they now languish at the bottom of their Champions League group and face a six-point deficit behind league leaders Inter Milan. In light of these challenges, changes are essential, and AC Milan could potentially find a solution to their recent woes in a Real Madrid player.
Brahim Diaz was highly regarded during the summer as a ‘new signing’ for Real Madrid. After an impressive 2022/23 season during his three-year loan spell with AC Milan, where he showcased his abilities, Los Blancos opted to recall him to the Spanish capital.
However, this season, Brahim has had limited playing time. According to statistics from Transfermarkt, he has made only nine appearances and played a mere 118 minutes of football thus far.
Inevitably, speculation about his future has emerged. Could a return to AC Milan be a viable option?
Reports from Calciomercato suggest that if Brahim’s situation does not improve, a loan move back to AC Milan in January cannot be ruled out. AC Milan’s manager, Stefano Pioli, would welcome such a reunion with open arms.
Brahim was a standout performer for AC Milan last season, and there was even talk of a permanent transfer to the Italian side during the summer. Several top Premier League clubs also expressed interest in signing him.
While Real Madrid recalled Brahim with the expectation that he would be a regular contributor or even a starter, his current role at Santiago Bernabeu is minor. Consequently, a move away from the club could potentially benefit all parties involved.
