Real Madrid Declines Alaves’ Loan Bid for Rising Star Alvaro Rodriguez
Real Madrid has opted to decline a loan proposition from Alaves for the promising Uruguayan talent, Alvaro Rodriguez.
The 19-year-old striker left a lasting impression during his brief appearance with the first team last season, notably providing an assist against Osasuna and securing a crucial equalizer in the derby against Atletico Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach, had publicly expressed his intention to promote Rodriguez to the senior squad. Despite having Joselu Mato as the sole natural striker in their ranks, the decision has been made to retain Rodriguez within the Real Madrid Castilla team under the guidance of Raul Gonzalez in the third division.
Alaves, in search of reinforcements for their attacking lineup, approached Real Madrid regarding the possibility of loaning Rodriguez. However, their inquiry was met with a rejection, as reported by Relevo. Both Real Madrid and Rodriguez are aligned in the belief that his development would be better served by spending another year honing his skills with Castilla.
