Hansi Flick on Barcelona’s Treble Hopes: “We Are Allowed to Dream”

Barcelona’s remarkable 2025 campaign continued with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, securing their place in the Copa del Rey final with a 5-4 aggregate win.

Ferran Torres’ first-half strike proved decisive as the Catalans battled to maintain their lead. Speaking after the match, Hansi Flick praised his team’s resilience. “We defended well and did very well. Everyone can be proud of this team. Atletico are a great team, but we have improved a lot. It’s not easy, especially here,” he told Marca.

With Barcelona still in contention for a historic treble, Flick acknowledged the excitement but remains grounded. “We are allowed to dream, but we must stay focused. The next few weeks won’t be easy, but we have a fantastic team,” he said.

Although a Copa del Rey final showdown against Real Madrid awaits later this month, Flick refuses to look too far ahead. “I don’t want to talk about the final. I’m focused on Betis. Playing El Clásico in a final is fantastic, but we have many important games before that.”

With their treble hopes alive, can Barcelona turn dreams into reality?
