French Star Opens Up to Dembélé About His Life at Madrid

Kylian Mbappé has returned to the French national team after missing recent call-ups. As he prepares for France’s Nations League quarterfinal clash against Croatia, the Real Madrid forward has been adjusting to life in Spain. In conversations with his close friends and teammates Ousmane Dembélé and William Saliba, he shared his thoughts on his adaptation to La Liga, the club’s environment, and the legendary Santiago Bernabéu.
Mbappé revealed that his expectations of Real Madrid were already high, but reality has exceeded them.
“Real Madrid is not what I expected… it’s even bigger. Everything is incredible—the fans, the pressure, the stadium, and the fact that people recognize you in any city around the world. It’s unbelievable,” he admitted to his compatriots.
His decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain and the influence of Qatar for Madrid has proven to be the right one. While some doubted his ability to handle the expectations of the club, his recent performances—especially in the victory over Villarreal—have only reinforced his status as a leader at the Bernabéu.

Breaking Records and Chasing History
In his first season at Real Madrid, Mbappé has already scored 31 goals, surpassing the debut campaign of Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário. He now has his sights set on Cristiano Ronaldo’s 33-goal first season (2009–2010) and the all-time record for a Madrid debutant—Iván Zamorano’s 37 goals in 1992.
Mbappé is not just thriving at Madrid; he is rewriting history. Proudly wearing the white jersey, he has finally closed the long-running saga that began in 2017 when he first considered a move to the Spanish giants. Now, he is focused on leaving his own mark at the club, and judging by his performances, he is well on his way to doing just that.
