Carlo Ancelotti considers a substitute role for Real Madrid’s Luka Modric

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has stated that although Luka Modric is an “untouchable” player for him, the veteran midfielder might be more effective coming off the bench. Since his return from the World Cup, Modric, now 37, has struggled with fitness and form.

While Modric didn’t start against Elche, he came on in the second half to score a goal. Ancelotti believes that everyone in the squad is important, and he must rotate his players to meet the demands of the season.

Despite his importance to the team, Modric might be substituted due to the team’s form, with Dani Ceballos being the best-performing midfielder over the past month.
