Gareth Bale Clarifies Relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo Amid Real Madrid Rumors
Former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has addressed speculations regarding a supposed rift between himself and Cristiano Ronaldo during their time at Los Blancos.
During their illustrious stint together, the duo achieved tremendous success, winning four Champions League titles for the club.
In a recent interview, Bale dismissed claims of any issue between him and Ronaldo, emphasizing that he never encountered a problem with the Portuguese superstar or anyone else at Real Madrid. Bale, who has retired from football, while Ronaldo currently plays in Saudi Arabia, stated in an interview with The Times, “I don’t think I had an argument with anyone. Even during challenging times, the atmosphere in the changing room was good.”
Reflecting on his time at Real Madrid, the Welshman expressed his overall satisfaction, except for a few challenging moments on the pitch. Bale affirmed that he holds no regrets and made the right decision to join the club, citing Ronaldo and Karim Benzema as key reasons for his choice, along with players like Luka Modric, Xabi Alonso, and later, Toni Kroos.
Contrary to the notion of being a “Galactico,” Bale clarified that his intention was simply to play the game and then retreat from the spotlight.
Presently, Bale is dedicating himself to his lifelong passion for golf, with a potential future in professional golf on his radar. He recently participated in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am lineup and has another Pro-Am slot scheduled for September. A return to football seems unlikely for the 33-year-old in the foreseeable future as he focuses on pursuing his golfing aspirations.
