Real Madrid Faces Potential Player Sales to Pursue Kylian Mbappe Signing
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe this summer may necessitate the sale of key players in order to raise funds.
Los Blancos have been actively engaged in securing a deal to sign Mbappe on a free transfer in 2024. However, recent developments suggest that their plans could undergo changes in the near future.
Mbappe’s reluctance to extend his contract with PSG has caused tension within the club, heightening the likelihood of a summer departure. While the French captain’s current agreement runs until 2024 at the Parc des Princes, a clause exists that would extend it until 2025 if activated by the end of July.
Should the deadline pass without activation, PSG might consider selling Mbappe as part of a lucrative €200m deal.
According to reports from the Daily Express, Real Madrid is willing to alter their approach and accelerate their pursuit of Mbappe. However, this change in strategy would require the sale of certain players.
Among those potentially offloaded are Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni, who have attracted interest from Premier League clubs. The midfield duo carries a valuation of £85m each.
