Aurelien Tchouameni’s Real Madrid Exit Rumors Addressed amid Arsenal Links
Speculation surrounding Aurelien Tchouameni’s potential departure from Real Madrid has been circulating in recent weeks and months. The arrival of Jude Bellingham this summer has only intensified these rumors. Tchouameni, who struggled to secure a spot in the starting XI during crucial matches towards the end of last season, now faces additional competition in the midfield.
Real Madrid signed Tchouameni from AS Monaco just last summer in a deal reportedly worth around €100 million. However, the Frenchman has yet to fully meet the high expectations associated with his transfer.
Initially, Tchouameni made an impressive start at Real Madrid, filling the void left by Casemiro when the Brazilian joined Manchester United. However, his form declined as the season progressed. After the World Cup break, he lost his status as a guaranteed starter and spent most of the second half of the season on the bench. The arrival of Bellingham and these developments have fueled speculation of Tchouameni’s potential departure this summer.
Among the clubs rumored to be interested in Tchouameni is Arsenal. However, journalist Paul Brown has stated that Arsenal’s interest in the player is not substantial. Brown mentioned, “Even if they did [have an interest], they know he’s unlikely to be leaving Real Madrid anytime soon.”
Arsenal is on the verge of securing a £105 million deal for Declan Rice from West Ham United. As a result, a move for Tchouameni appears highly unlikely at this stage, even if the Premier League giants had previously shown interest in the French midfielder.
Furthermore, it seems premature for Real Madrid to consider parting ways with Tchouameni. He has already demonstrated glimpses of his potential while wearing the white jersey and deserves another season to showcase his abilities consistently.
