Karim Benzema Considers Legal Action Over T3rr0r1st Group Accusations
The last few days have been marked by significant events for Karim Benzema, though not in a positive way for the former Real Madrid striker.
On Tuesday, Benzema was accused of having ties to The Muslim Brotherhood, a group recognized as a terrorist organization by numerous countries worldwide. These allegations were made by French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin during an interview with CNews.
In response, Benzema’s lawyer has strongly refuted Darmanin’s claims. Hugues Vigier issued a statement to Le Parisien (via Relevo) in which he dismissed the allegations and mentioned that Benzema is contemplating taking legal action in response to these remarks.
Vigier stated, “This is false. He has never had any connection with this organization. We are considering initiating proceedings against this minister (Darmanin) under the law on manipulation of information, which is highly valued by our government.”
He continued, “Through defamation or even public insult because this non-existent link with the Muslim Brotherhood, which, according to him, is notorious, is clearly presented in a derogatory manner. It is unacceptable for those in power to believe they have the authority to act out of pure opportunism.”
The threat of legal action comes as no surprise, given the gravity of these accusations.
