Real Madrid Sets Sights on Manchester City’s as Striker Target
Following the departure of Karim Benzema without a direct replacement this summer, securing a new striker has become a top priority for Real Madrid. As per reports from Fichajes, the club has identified their target, and surprisingly, it’s not the names of Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland, which often come to mind when discussing Real Madrid’s need for a No. 9.
Instead, the Spanish giants have their eyes set on Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez. The 23-year-old, a world champion with Argentina, made a €23 million move to the English side from River Plate. During his tenure at the Etihad, Alvarez contributed with 19 goals and 8 assists in 55 appearances, often as a substitute.
With reports suggesting that Manchester City is considering a move for Brighton’s Evan Ferguson next summer, it could potentially pave the way for Alvarez’s departure from the club.
Julian Alvarez’s current market value is estimated at €60 million, making him an intriguing target for Real Madrid as they seek to strengthen their attacking lineup.
